Manhole & Concrete Structure Rehabilitation
Sewer manholes are under constant attack from microbiologically induced corrosion (MIC), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gas, traffic loading, and groundwater infiltration. Many times the manholes are located in the middle of busy streets, making them impossible to replace without costly pavement repairs and traffic disruption. Johnson Service can rehabilitate the manholes in place, without affecting sewer service in most cases. We use the Strong Seal® system of cementitious grouts to rebuild the manhole’s structural integrity. When severe H2S and MIC conditions are a problem, we apply Raven corrosion-resistant epoxy.
- Restore existing manholes without excavation or interruption of service
- Grout and epoxy are applied using specialized application equipment
- High strength, fiber reinforced grout restores structural integrity
- Stops infiltration and exfiltration
- Epoxy coating protects against microbiological corrosion and severe H2S gas
